Liberia Project

In 2016, the Bainbridge Rotary Club received an International Grant to supply garden weasels (small, hand rototillers) to be used in the rice fields of Liberia, West Africa. The Bainbridge Club purchased the tillers, and one larger, gas-powered rototiller, and shipped them to Liberia where a Rotary Club there unpacked and distributed them to independent farmers. The equipment helps them take care of their crops much more efficiently to provide even more rice for their families and to sell.
